In Kaili, two places are worth to visit. The first one is Kaili Museum, where you can have a background knowledge of all minority native culture in this area; the second thing is the Sunday market, market, held every five days.

For the colourful Miao minority in rural southeast China Guizhou province, the Miao New Year Festival is the most important celebration of the year. It's the time for the Miao people to celebrate their harvest. The celebrations will be held in every village by the locals.

The Sisters' Rice Festival (sister's meal festival) brings villagers from many remote mountain areas together in search of a mate. A kaleidoscope of colors, local customs and traditions, signature costumes and hairstyles provide a never-ending fashion show.

  Taijiang Dragon Lantern Festival
Taijiang Dragon Lantern Festival is celebrated with great gusto in Tajiang, near Kaili, where the entertainment takes n a unique flavor. Several groups in Taijiang, from the period of the 1st to 15th of the first lunar month, make large paper dragons that are manipulated by 10-15 men. Children are given straw dragons.
