8 Days Mount Everest Camp Group TourDay 2
On day 2, drive about 2.5 hours to the northeast of Lhasa for visiting the Drak Yerpa Monastery. Built on a hillside with more than 80 meditation caves, it owns over 1,500 years history and is regarded as the shrine of the Holy city Lhasa. Later that day, the next visit is Sera Monastery, the second monastery in Tibet. It is about 2 hours' drive from Drak Yerpa. Distinctively its famous debating activities are holding around 3-4pm regularly every working day that you should never miss. At last, you will be served a nice welcome dinner at a popular local restaurant.

Day 3
It believes that this day must leave a lifetime memory for your whole life. In the morning, you will visit the splendid Potala Palace, which originated from 7th century and once homed to Dalai Lamas. The Jokhang Temple, we head for later, as the spiritual center of Tibet, will deeply impressed you by its magnificence and sincere pilgrims. Barkhor street, hugging the jokhang temple, is regarded as the crowded central Market in ancient section of Lhasa, and at where you can buy various Tibetan or other minorities’ souvenirs for your family and friends.

Day 4
After two days' visit of Tibetan human landscapes, today we will drive up about 1.5 hours to Kambala pass (4794m high) from Lhasa to appreciate the beautiful natural views of the famous Sacred Lake of Tibet - Yamdrok Yumtso Lake. The surface of the lake seems like a green jade, hence it is praised as the most beautiful lake all over the world. Then drive about 1.5 hours and arrive at the foot of Naiqinkangsang Snow Mountain. It is one of the holy mountains of Tibet. If you look up to the Snow Mountain, you'll see the beautiful "flag cloud" (the creature of the wind and the snow) floating and shining in the air. Later with passing by Karo-la Glacier, we will arrive at Gyantse (2 hrs, 140 km), and take a short visit to the local Pala Manor. As the best-preserved manor in Tibet, it shows you the lifestyle of the previous wealth owners’ family. You can see how extremely luxurious life they had then, and enrich your mind with vivid scenes of old Tibetan Slavery Era. At last, we drive straight to Shigatse and check in there.

Day 5
Visit the most famous tourist spot of Shigatse - Tashilhunpo Monastery. It was founded by the First Dalai Lama in 1447, and expanded by the Fourth and successive Panchen Lamas. It’s bumpy road with stone paved from Shegar to Rongbuk monastery and it needs about 3 hours’ drive. The other roads are quite paved. After your arrival, rest for acclimatization at the guesthouse of Rongbuk monastery. Also you could choose to explore around and visit the highest monastery (optional) in the world on your own expense, where we will see how the monks here live in such a harsh environment. Just enjoy the stunning sunset here if the weather permits.
