The Duan village where Dragonfly Guesthouse situates itself is 3km from Shaxi Town, Jianchuan County.
The guests simply need a short bus ride from either Lijiang or Dali area to the village, or take a taxi from Shaxi Town bus terminal to the village at the cost of RMB 60.
The most thrilling things are going to the nearby valley where there are plenty of Buddhist grottoes and visiting interesting Friday Market in Shaxi Town under the guide of the guesthouse owner Mr. Wu.

The Dragonfly Guesthouse, turned from a Chinese monastery with a history of 200 years, gives a full show of exotic architecture and religious tranquility that travellers can barely catch in other Shaxi hotels or Jianchuan hotels.
