| Visit the famous Great Wall and Ming Tombs. Highly recommend you to climb up the Wall by foot. You might also take cable car, the extra cost is RMB 50 one way. |
| Sacred Way | This road was known as “shendao”, meaning "the way of the spirit". The body of the dead was carried across this route at funeral ceremonies. It is 7 kilometers long, starting at the Memorial Arch to the gate of the main tomb. | | Ming Tombs (Changling) | Between 1368 and 1644 the Ming Dynasty had 16 emperors, and thirteen of them were buried in Beijing. This is where the tombs got their names from. The Ming tombs are located about 50 kilometers to the north of Beijing. | | Mutianyu Great Wall | The Mutianyu Great Wall is 73 km from Beijing and has 22 watchtowers, about one every kilometer. | Xian Bell Tower | Bell Tower in Xian is the most well-preserved and best-known one among many ancient cities of China. The Bell Tower was originally built in the Yingxiang Temple in 1384, at the intersection of West Street and Guangji Street. | | Big Wild Goose Pagoda | The Big Wild Goose Pagoda is one of the most distinctive and outstanding landmarks in the south of Xi’an city. It is one of the main constructions in the famous Da-Ci-En Buddhist temple. | | Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses Museum | This site was listed by UNESCO in 1987 as one of the world’s cultural heritages. | Transfer to airport for your flight to Lhasa. Upon arrival at the Lhasa airport, pickup by our local English speaking tour guide in Tibet and drive to hotel. Free at leisure to acclimatize yourself to the high latitude. The most important thing for the first day in Lhasa is rest! Do not be too active today.
