In Peking opera there are four main types of roles: sheng (male) dan (young female), jing( painted face,male), and chou (clown, male or female).

Day 3  Beijing (B,L)
Today's Activities:
The highlight is the Great Wall. The Mutianyu Great Wall is less crowded than Badaling, you might walk up and down the Wall on foot, or take cable car one way or round trips. The extra cost of cable car (RMB 50 one way) will be at your own cost.
Ming Tombs (Changling)Between 1368 and 1644 the Ming Dynasty had 16 emperors, and thirteen of them were buried in Beijing. This is where the tombs got their names from. The Ming tombs are located about 50 kilometers to the north of Beijing.
Mutianyu Great WallThe Mutianyu Great Wall is 73 km from Beijing and has 22 watchtowers, about one every kilometer. A 4,000 meter long pathway has been constructed from the road to the summit. It can also be reached by cable car.

Day 5  Beijing,Datong (B)
Today's Activities:
Morning is at your leisure in Beijing till transferred to Beijing West Train station for the train (soft sleeper class, 4 berths in one compartment) to Datong City. Train No.: K615 (leave Beijing at 15h40, arrive Datong at 21h45). Upon arrival at Datong railway station, pickup by our English speaking tour guide and drive to hotel.

The highlight today is the famous Yungang Grottes.
Huayan TempleThe Huayan Temple is the largest and best preserved temple of the Liao Dynasty in existence in China. The Huayan Temple complex is located on Daxi Street on the south western side of Datong City, Shanxi Province.
The Datong Nine Dragon ScreenThe Datong Nine Dragon Screen, built over 600 years ago, is presently the oldest and largest glazed screen in China today. The Nine-Dragon Screen is localted in the downtown of Datong.
