| Li An Lodge is an entirely wood structure implementing the Chinese traditional building technique of tongue and groove without a single nail,sitting on top of a mountain, bordering a local village and overlooking magnificent rice terraces. Keren Su, founder of China Span, a renowned photographer, painter and adventurous world traveler, discovered this spot during a photography trip in 1997. It took him 8 years to design and finish this one-of-a-kind lodge, where now Chinese tradition meets modern luxury. Built in the traditional Chinese architectural style, Li An Lodge is the only lodge in the area that offers all the western amenities. The business center offers high-speed internet access, the restaurant offers gourmet meals featuring both Chinese and Western cuisines, the bar offers a selection of local and imported drinks and a spacious living room offers plenty of room for guests to socialize and enjoy a wonderful slide show featuring Keren''s photography and introducing the beauty of China. |

Li An Lodge is located in Long Sheng County, Guangxi Province of China. It is about 50 miles northwest of Guilin, which is roughly a two-and-a-half-hour drive.Due to the exclusive location of the lodge, there is a half-hour hike uphill before one can actually reach the lodge. However, porters are available to relieve some burden and sedans can provide one with a ride.
