| The highlight today is the Great Wall. The Mutianyu Great Wall is less crowded than Badaling, you might walk up and down the Wall on foot, or take cable car one way or round trips. The extra cost of cable car (RMB 50 one way) will be at your own cost. |
| Sacred Way | This road was known as “shendao”, meaning "the way of the spirit". The body of the dead was carried across this route at funeral ceremonies. It is 7 kilometers long, starting at the Memorial Arch to the gate of the main tomb. | | Ming Tombs (Changling) | Between 1368 and 1644 the Ming Dynasty had 16 emperors, and thirteen of them were buried in Beijing. This is where the tombs got their names from. The Ming tombs are located about 50 kilometers to the north of Beijing. | | Mutianyu Great Wall | The Mutianyu Great Wall is 73 km from Beijing and has 22 watchtowers, about one every kilometer. The Bell Tower was originally built in the Yingxiang Temple in 1384, at the intersection of West Street and Guangji Street. | | Big Wild Goose Pagoda | The Big Wild Goose Pagoda is one of the most distinctive and outstanding landmarks in the south of Xi’an city.
