Day 1  Guiyang,Kaili
Today's Activities:
Our tour guide will hold a welcome sign to meet you at the Guiyang Airport according to your morning internal flight schedule. We'll drive about 2.5 hours along the scenic mountain road to Kaili City, capital of Miao & Dong Autonomous Prefecture. Free time for the rest of the day. If you arrive Kaili in the early afternoon, we will visit Kaili Museum (not open in Sunday), which exhibiting all the ethnic custumes of this region.
KailiKaili city is the capital of Miao and Dong Minority Autonomous Prefecture and the central market town in the southeastern Guizhou, most of travelers come here by road, you might either take a taxi for 2-hour ride from Guiyang airport, or fly to Guili……

Kaili Ethnic Minorities Musem: one of the "100 Distinctive Museums of China", is entitled "the Origin of Chinese Folk Arts". The Kaili museum has a collection of over ten thousand items of different ethnic groups.

Day 2  Kaili (B,L)
Today's Activities:
Today's route: Kaili City – Shidong Town (1.5 hours) – Pingmin Village (0.5 hour). After your breakfast, we'll drive to Shidong Town to attend the Miao's Dragon Boat Festival, which held in June. Every village has 3 unique boats. One is the 17 meter (56 foot)and two 10 meter (33 foot), they are constructed from fir, each with a carved dragon's head on its prow. Stay overnight at a local Farmhouse in Pingmin Village.
Taijiang Dragon Lantern FestivalTaijiang Dragon Lantern Festival is celebrated with great gusto in Tajiang, near Kaili, where the entertainment takes n a unique flavor. Several groups in Taijiang, from the period of the 1st to 15th of the first lunar month, make large paper dragons……

Shidong: Sidong is a small town 3 hours drive from Kaili. Part of the countryside road might by muddy and crowded in Sisters Meal Festival, hard to find a clean place to eat, you need to walk a long way to the place where the ceremony is taking place. Compare with all dificulties, the photos worth everything.

Day 3  Kaili (B,L)
Today's Activities:
Today, the rowing activities is continued, we could spend some time on the local villagers' celebration activities. Then do some hiking around the village, enjoy the views of the rice terraces mountains and rivers. If time permited, we could visit local school in the village, meet local teachers & students (optional). Drive 2 hours back to Kaili in the late afternoon.
Miao Ethnic VillagesA visit to Miao Ethnic Village offers good opportunity for photos, especially on a market day, bring some candies for kids in the village, they will be more helpful for photos and willing to tell you lots of local customs.

KuaiHuoLin/LiangHuanZhai: The most famous local dish in Kaili was Sour Soup Fish. This restaurant serves the best Sour Soup Fish Hotpot in Kaili. The fish and the soup are definitely tasty! The KuaiHuoLin restaurant is decorated in the style of Miao ethnic architecture, all waitresses are Miao girls.

Day 4  Kaili (B,L)
Today's Activities:
A short drive from Kaili along the Bala River brings us to the village of Jidao, a real gem full of traditional wooden houses and waterwheels. We have time to stroll around the quiet village before lunch with a local family. After lunch we continue our journey to Paika village to see how the Lusheng - the Miao people's most important musical instrument was made. Later drive back to Xijiang village and stay overnight there.
Xijiang One Thousand Family Miao villageXijiang is thought to be the largest Miao village. It's a superbly picturesque place, set in a natural basin and bordered by paddy fields drenched in green, with wooden houses rising up the hillside. The village is a site in itself and there are also……
Paika villageThe PaiKa village is known for its manufacture of Lushengs, the characteristic musical instrument of the Miao. Visit the home of a Lusheng maker and know more about Lusheng-the Miao people's most important musical instrument.

Sunset Photo of Xijiang Village: At sunset, the mountain village looks brilliant. It is a good photo chance. The best position is the welcome pavilion at the entrance of village, where you have a bird eye view of the whole area.

Day 5  Kaili,Guiyang (B)
Today's Activities:
Morning is at your leisure in Kaili till transferred to Guiyang airport for your flight to next destination. Airline tickets leaving Guiyang is not included in this package. If you need us to book the flight ticket, please tell us in advance.
