Dear Jenny, We have been reading all updated news of the terrible earthquake in China these days, we want to say something.  In the past few months, China had severe snowstorms, problems of Tibet, devastating earthquake...These have brought widespread destruction and large losses of life.  Chinese have shown their strength and resilience to bounce back.  You are rallying to the call by banding together to meet the challenge of overcoming this great adversity.  

If there is anything that we might be of help, we will do our best.

We aslo want to say thank you.  Appologize for say it so late.  Thank you so much for asking for my reactions to the tour; I think that is a very professional attitude.  And it makes me feel that you really care if I had a good tip.  It is an important holidays for us, Kathy and I have married for 35 years and she was always talking about her dream to visit China someday.  As you have alreay known before, her father was a missionary and Kathy was raised in somewhere in china during her childhood.  We had a great time in China. Here are some of the specifics:

The airlines flights were fine as booked (By the way, we were pleasantly surprised at the efficiency of the airlines, flights/baggage handling at all stops, except Xian--no major problems, just an airport that was not as good). We were also surprised at Yichang, after our cruise, was at an earlier time than originally--again that was a good surprise.

The tour in Chongqing was very good and had been described well. The Victoria cruises was very good, and had been described well. They did a good job of accommodating the vegetarians in our group. Shanghai was fine. Suzhou was fine.  Guilin was a good stop, as Kathy said, a real countryside style leisure time and the first time after two weeks trip that we would not need to catch up the schedule.

On the good side, the tours in Lhasa were very good. So, I would say that the entire trip, and your part in it were excellent, with the one exception that the Tibet hotel could have been booked earlier, or if full, we should have been told of alternative arrangements.
