Yesterday, Hangzhou West Lake Expo (World Leisure Expo) Organizing Committee held a plenary meeting to prepare for next years West Lake Expo.

It is sketched out that the ninth West Lake Expo is to be held from Oct. 20, 2007 to Nov. 5, 2007, lasting 16 days in total. Considering the gathering effect, the opening ceremony of the ninth West Lake Expo can be combined with the Fireworks Show and the Expo can be declared open in the Fireworks Show. Meanwhile, the gala Paradise on Earth can be integrated with the closing ceremony. At the same time, it is also suggested that the gala Paradise on Earth can introduce the style of the evening party of the World Buddhist Forum, not leaning on stars or top notches, but depending on those made-in-Hangzhous to enlarge its influence. Grand ceremonies can be held every five or ten years. Thus, in 2008, when it is the tenth West Lake Expo, the scale of the ceremony can be extended.
