Harbin Ice and Snow Festival
Time: January 5 to February 5, 2008

Place: Harbin, Heilongjiang province

Harbin is a famous city for his long icing period and so called Ice city. Harbin is located in the north of China, and is a original place of ice and snow culture. Songhuajiang River is support a wonderful condition for the ice art. The first Harbin Ice Festival is begun in 1985, and the third Asia Winter Olympic Game was hold in here.

Activities: ice lantern show, snow carve show, ice carve competition, and so on. At the same time winter swimming, ice hockey match, skiing match. What’s more, sometimes there will have ice wedding to attract visitors.
