Victory Hotel, Guangzhou

I have stayed at Victory Hotel several times in past year, and is the only place I plan to stay in Guangzhou.

I only stay in new building, which I believe is more western than the main building. Ask for this one.

Reasons I like it so much:
1) Location – Shamian Island is quiet, peaceful, and safe with nice walks.
2) Room size and comfort – upgrade room has comfortable bed, extra space, and a great shower.
3) Cleaning – very good, never had any issues
4) Size – new building is not big, so easy to go from room to street. No big hotel to navigate throught.
5) Restaurants – Thia restaurant on corner of hotel is excellent and Dinner Cafe further up street is also extremely good. Be careful with restaurants as many are really tourist traps on island. Those two are very good.
