Beijing’s new airport

It’s more like a small country than an airport terminal. Beijing’s terminal is twice the size and about half the cost of Heathrow’s new Terminal Five, which is due to open next month.

This terminal will be able to handle 50 million passengers a year. The architects say it’s the largest building in the world – bigger than all the terminals at Heathrow Airport in London put together.

What do you think, I know it was very crowded at Beijing’s airport, may be it will become less stressfull now?!??

Well, well, China is a more than 2 500 years old civilisation, South Europe and Asia Minor about the same, North Europe not much more than a 1 200 years old civilisation, North America as we know it today a 300 – 400 hundred years old (if it could be called a civilisation even today) and Australia an only 200 – 250 years old civilisation.

Well, my buddy, if you know the Chinese History, you will understand why China fell far behind compared with North Europe, North America and Australia and you name it, even though she has more than 2500 years’ civilisation. During a long period, we know that the Qing-dynasty Goverment implemented closed-cloorism and isolated China from the outer wolrd, which would be the most imporant reason to explain China’s ever falling behind. Aha, as a Chinese, I have sufficent reasons to take pride in my homeland.
